The benefits of a healthy diet are well known. A balanced diet supports optimal health and a longer life. According to Choose My Plate, fruits and vegetables have been shown to reduce the risk of chronic diseases, including cancer; and whole grains have been shown to reduce the risk of heart disease and improve digestive health. Proteins help support muscles, skin, and cartilage, dairy helps strengthen bones and maintain healthy blood pressure, while oils contain essential fatty acids and Vitamin E.

Have you become stuck in a recipe rut? If you are making the same things over and over again, then it may be time to shake things up. Try new recipes to incorporate a wider range of nutrition into your diet. Adding in more produce or changing up the type of protein you normally eat can help you optimize your nutrition while also avoiding boredom. Our Healthy Stir Fry recipe is Ignite approved, so it will help you maximize your results while using the Ignite Kit. With plenty of lean protein, vegetables, and healthy oils, it provides many of the key nutrients you need in a well balanced diet.

Stir Fry Recipe:

Single Serving:

4-oz chicken breast cut into thin strips

4-oz broccoli florets

1 clove garlic (minced)

2 tsp. olive oil (divided)

For the sauce:

1 T soy sauce

1 T rice wine vinegar

1 packet of Truvia or Splenda

½ tsp. red pepper flakes

In a medium sized bowl, whisk together the sauce ingredients.

Heat a large wok or high sided pan over high heat. Add 1 tsp. olive oil.

Add the chicken to the wok and cook until the chicken is cooked through, about 5-6 minutes. Remove the chicken to a plate.

Add the remaining olive oil to the wok or pan, and then add in the garlic. Cook for a minute, or until fragrant. Add in the broccoli. Cook until bright in color or just crisp cooked, about 1-2 minutes.

Add in the cooked chicken and sauce. Cook for 30 seconds until the chicken and broccoli are coated.

Plate and enjoy!
